I lived in San Diego in the mid 1990s, and first saw the iconic, haunting immigrants crossing sign near the Tijuana border. I thought of that image recently, in relation to President Trump’s horrendous Muslim ban.
Designed and printed an earlier version of this poster and handed out about 100 of them at the protest in Boston’s Copley Square on January 29, 2017.
Like a lot of you, I’ve been writing my share of postcards to politicians lately. I’m fortunate enough to agree with the majority of my local representatives (Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren, among others), so the messages have been of the “hey you’re great, keep it up” variety.
Sending your own messages? Say hello from Boston with these postcards featuring our re-worked version of Boston’s iconic Citgo Sign. A pack of 6 postcards for $5, with all proceeds donated to the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.
